Yeah, I’m not a super fan of xmerl, either. But when I just need a quick xml parsing (for an escript, for instance), since it comes with OTP and then requires no extra dependencies… I use it.

Is your parser open-source? Is it based on the pluggable xmerl functions or built from scratch?
